Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using the Hou²Hou² app (the “App”), you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”), which these Terms supplement. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial learning, in accordance with the Apple Standard EULA and these Terms.
3. Subscriptions, pricing & billing
The first two chapters of the course are free. Full access requires a subscription:
- Monthly — US$9.99 per month
- Yearly — US$49.99 per year
Prices shown are for the United States; the App Store sets the equivalent local price in your region.
Auto-renewal. Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Apple Account settings on the App Store after purchase.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or extract the course content, audio or software except as permitted by law, and not to use the App in any unlawful way.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its course content, audio recordings, designs and software are owned by Benjamin Schubert or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your licence does not transfer any ownership to you.
6. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us permission to use it to improve the App without obligation to you.
7. Educational purpose & disclaimers
The App is a learning tool. We don't guarantee any particular level of fluency or result. The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Benjamin Schubert will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Apple-specific terms
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Benjamin Schubert only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund any applicable purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws apply to you.
